It has been raining incessantly from yesterday night and still its drizzling. Normally Chennai doesn't receive rainfall in the month of march. thanks to the lord varuna who has been kind enough in giving rains to this land. "I love walking in the rain because no one can see me crying" is a saying of the great comedian Charlie Chaplien. This quote has become a fashion among youngsters nowadays. very often we get messages from friends during a rainy day asking "why do you like rainy days" and people send out the same quote with  a laugh out loud lol! at the end.

Chennai was in the rainshadow region before some five years back. The pumps and corporation lorries of this city has not spared even the richest person. Many have run pillars to post carrying the popular water pots known  asas "kodam"

While many other people waste water in other states, people from tanilnadu can actually use water in an efficient way. That's the best thing lord Varuna has thought us. Water was like a commodity sold in the fair price shops once upon a time. But now things have changed. Due to global warming, the climatic conditions of this city has changed. Rains are sufficient nowadays, sometimes overflowing also.

But the best thing we have learnt is how to preserve rain water)
